Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Veilcode (the "Service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Veilcode is

Veilcode is a free, browser-based tool that obfuscates Lua and Luau source code. The Service is provided as-is for personal and commercial use. No account is required to use the core functionality.

3. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the code you obfuscate and for any consequences of using the Service. By using Veilcode, you confirm that:

  • You own the code you submit, or you have permission from the rights holder to obfuscate it.
  • Your use of the Service does not violate any law, platform policy (including Roblox's Terms of Use), or third-party agreement.
  • You will not use Veilcode to obfuscate malware, cheats, exploits, or any code intended to harm others or bypass security measures.

We do not review, monitor, or take responsibility for the code our users process.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Abuse the feedback system, Discord integration, or any other feature for spam or harassment.
  • Resell, rebrand, or redistribute Veilcode as your own product without permission.
  • Use automated tools to make excessive requests to our infrastructure.

We reserve the right to block access for abusive behaviour without prior notice.

5. Privacy

Veilcode processes your code entirely in your browser. Your Lua source code is never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server. The only data we may process:

  • Discord account information (username, avatar, ID) if you choose to log in — used solely to display your profile in the interface.
  • Feedback messages submitted through the widget — sent to our Discord server for review.
  • Local settings (theme, accent colour, glass strength, history) — stored only on your device.
6. No warranty

Veilcode is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, that obfuscated output will be compatible with every execution environment, or that obfuscation will prevent all reverse engineering — it makes reading harder, not impossible. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or account suspensions on third-party platforms.

8. Intellectual property

Veilcode's source code, design, and branding belong to their respective authors. You retain all rights to the code you obfuscate through the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Veilcode after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Contact

For questions about these Terms, reach out through the feedback widget or our Discord server.

All processing runs entirely in your browser. No code is ever sent to a server.
